A Meeting by the River is an album recorded by Ry Cooder and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in September 1992. The album features traditional Indian music, as well as blues, jazz, and rock influences. The tracks are a mix of instrumental pieces and songs with lyrics in both English and Hindi. Cooder and Bhatt received Grammy Awards for Best World Music Album for the 36th Grammy Awards in 1994.
