Metro is a popular free tabloid newspaper that is distributed every weekday morning at commuter railway stations in major towns and cities across the UK.

The nameplate of the newspaper is set in Kabel Black, a typeface designed by German type designer Rudolf Koch. Kabel is a geometric sans-serif design that was influenced by the Bauhaus movement and is one of the earliest of its kind. Further information about Kabel Black can be accessed here. For the “FREE” tag on the logo, it is probably set in Franklin Gothic Heavy.
